US Islands at Stockton II

US Islands - Special Event Station at Stockton Lake. Our goal is to set up a portable HF station on Edge Island and make a set number of contacts to qualify the island. Join us for a good time no matter what! Plan to meet at the Kit Bond Visitor Center parking lot by the Stockton Lake Dam. Bring a chair, any equipment you would like, bug spray and raingear just in case. Talk-in and information on the event will be on 146.52 simplex. Nixa Amateur Radio Club NARC NET

The Nixa Amateur Radio Club will have a net, known as “The N.A.R.C. Net”, on the 145.270 repeater with a 162.2 Hz PL and a negative offset. The N.A.R.C. Net is a check-in net with no specific topic. EchoLink stations are allowed to participate in the net (node #113667). The net will be held EVERY Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and last approximately 15 to 30 minutes (depending on participation). The net will begin with a request for any emergency traffic to call now, followed by a short Preamble. The net control operators will rotate among a list of interested people. There will be a primary and a secondary operator assigned each week in case of an emergency or unforeseen event that the primary operator is not able to run the net.
